Gathered as driftwood or fallen wildwood, each piece is chosen for the story already etched into its grain. I work with a light hand, honouring the original character while guiding the forms into focus. My goal is to amplify the natural beauty that took decades to grow and years to weather, ensuring the wood’s own history remains the strongest voice.

This piece has an unusual opening shape with beautifully-warped grain patterns. It didn’t grow in a straight line or follow an expected pattern, likely due to a challenge. It changed course, expanded anyway, and became something entirely its own and beautiful.
Becoming is about the character that grows from adapting to change. It’s for those who appreciate the particular beauty when challenges are met with resilience and grace.

EMERGING PHOENIX

Emerging Phoenix is a captivating testament to nature’s strength and resilience. Its beautiful warm colours are natural, with no added tints.
Shaped by the wood’s instinctive response to life’s stressors, it grew around a natural challenge, forming a mesmerizing wavy groove that tells a story of endurance. The tree’s own defense transformed into a beautiful, unique new form, a gorgeous flowing shape that showcases the wood’s rich grain and warm, golden tones within. It’s a striking symbol of beauty born from overcoming hardships.

WAVE OF LOVE

This piece presents a fluid, rippling form that resembles a gentle wave in motion. At its crest, a heart shape emerges, visible only from a specific angle, otherwise remaining a subtle wavy hollow.
Designed to be viewed from all sides, it encourages shifting perspective to discover the hidden heart.
Wave of Love invites pause and close attention, capturing the instant love’s symbol suddenly appears.

This minimalist sculpture blends fluid form with impeccable balance, resting gracefully on three delicate points. Its flowing lines and forms hint at serene movement. Dynamic yet still, it captures motion frozen in time like a tranquil silhouette.
The beautiful natural beige tones accented by delicate brown lines add an intriguing deeper element to the sculpture.

BREACHING WHALE
2025
Despite its very weathered appearance, Breaching Whale is remarkably strong wood. Its natural shape captures a humpback whale breaching from the waves. Its wavy lines and organic shapes beautifully demonstrate the flow of movement. Each curve and contour appears to move seamlessly, mirroring the whale’s powerful ascent through water, its body arcing toward the sky.
What makes this piece especially unique is the way its rippled forms and subtle tonal shifts mirror the movement of water and the shimmer of light.

Curved like a wave caught mid-crest, Cresting Barrel carries the thrill of motion in an instant when everything lines up just right.
Its form leans forward in balance and energy, shaped by movement and the pull of momentum. It captures the spirit of flow, of being fully present, alive in the moment, when possibility feels wide open. This piece reflects the feeling of leaning into life.
What really sets this piece apart is its unique balance. It leans forward as if defying gravity, yet it is steady in its 4-point stance.
